Dermatologic Surgery of Central Virginia
We Specialize in Mohs micrographic surgery
The Mohs surgical procedure is performed in the physician’s office and is an extremely accurate process for removing skin cancer. Unlike other types of skin cancer removal techniques (i.e. standard excision), Mohs surgery results in:
- 100% of the tissue surrounding the tumor being checked
- higher cure rates (99% for most cancers)
- less healthy tissue having to be removed
- smaller wounds
- minimized scarring
At Dermatologic Surgery of Central Virginia, we want to educate and empower you in your fight against the most common type of cancer. Our goal is to give you a life free of skin cancer.
